Older industrial buildings
A lot of the industrial stock here pre-dates the 1999 asbestos ban, so asbestos cement roof sheets are common. They’re not dangerous left alone in good condition, but once they’re brittle, cracked or leaking they need dealing with properly — not walked on, patched with mastic and forgotten. We’ll survey, arrange testing where needed, and give you the options: encapsulation and over-sheeting in some cases, full removal and replacement in others.
The other thing we see constantly is the multi-span works building with valley gutters between bays. When those gutters fail, water goes straight into the building, often onto machinery. Gutter lining systems can seal them without taking everything apart, and it’s one of the best-value jobs you can do on an older roof.

Hot works, live processes, cranes and forklifts — industrial sites aren’t simple places to put a roofing crew. We plan the work around your shifts, agree exclusion zones, and phase the roof so only one bay is affected at once. Every job gets a site-specific method statement and risk assessment, IPAF-trained operatives and fragile-roof precautions. We’re SMAS accredited, NFRC approved and fully insured.
